Tom’s Crossing by Mark Z. Danielewski

An epic western that tells the story of two brave teens trying to save a pair of horses set for slaughter, while also telling the story of the countless retellings and interpretations and artistic renderings of that story. Walking alongside these characters and joining the cacophony of their audience is a thrilling and moving experience. It has also turned me into a horse girl. I highly recommend this once in a lifetime book.
